screening requirements
No youth-sports-specific screening statute, but your carrier almost certainly has one.
No statute specifically mandates criminal background screening for youth athletic coaches statewide. That does not mean you are off the hook. Liability insurance carriers routinely require documented screening as a condition of coverage, national sanctioning bodies impose their own rules, and a failure to screen is the first thing a plaintiff's attorney looks for. Most organizations here screen anyway and keep the paperwork.
